It is especially effective for drying the concentrates of non-ferrous and ferrous metals post-magnetic, gravity, or flotation separation, facilitating easier storage and transportation. The dryer is commonly applied for drying materials like cement, metallurgical chemicals, slag, limestone, coal powder, clay, and various industrial by-products. Its primary components include a rotating body, lifting plates, a transmission device, support structures, and sealing rings, and it offers advantages such as a streamlined structure, high capacity, low energy consumption, and easy operation.

The heat source of the single drum dryer originates from the combustion device, using a cocurrent heating method. Material to be dried enters the drum via a feed chute and is transported backward by the lifting plates inside the drum. Since the dryer is inclined, the material moves towards the discharge end due to gravity and rotation, while simultaneously being lifted and dispersed, creating a uniform curtain within the drum. This ensures thorough contact with the hot air for effective heat exchange. The material is repeatedly lifted and spread, allowing moisture to gradually evaporate and achieving the desired drying level.
